ALBA PRAT: Neoprene collection

Hi guys, today i want to talk you about an emerging german designer, Alba Prat, who employed lasercut neoprene in her creations. ( Neoprene was invented by two scientist and is the first residue of synthetic rubber. It is elastic, cut-resistant, hot-resistant..For these reasons, this material is employed in the production of technical and sport clothes like wet suits. ).
This fashion student was inspired from " synthetic oceans ". The outfits are made in lasercut neoprene, a material who becomes second skin and protect people when they are in the deep waters of ocean.

THE CONCEPT OF SYNTHETIC OCEANS:

"The aquatic world is being transformed into a grey and contaminated place without life as a result of the industrialization era. Thousands tons of plastic end in the ocean every year. As plastic hardly disintegrates, a synthetic environment is slowly coming over the underwater creatures, who in order to survive must  adapt or  will die.
The intersection between nature and this synthetic world is the basis of my collection". ( Alba Prat )

 

Ciao a tutti! Vorrei parlarvi di Alba Prat, un' emergente designer che ha impiegato il neoprene tagliato a laser nelle sua collezione. ( Il neoprene fu inventato da due scienziati ed è il primo residuo della gomme sintetica: per questi motivi è molto diffuso nella produzione di indumenti sportivi come le mute da sub ).
La studente di fashion design è stata ispirata dagli " oceani sintetici ". Tutti gli articoli della collezioni sono completamente in neoprene, materiale che diventa " seconda pelle " e che protegge il corpo nelle profonde acque dell'oceano.
